Lidl Connect Ireland: The €12.99 Mobile Plan
What the new supermarket SIM includes and how it compares.
Lidl has entered the Irish mobile market. Lidl Connect launched on 5 October 2026, running on the eir network and delivered with telecoms partner 1GLOBAL. The €8.99 launch price filled its 100,000 places quickly, so new customers now pay €12.99 a month.
What is included
- Unlimited 5G data in Ireland (subject to coverage and device)
- Unlimited calls and texts to Irish and UK networks
- 50GB of EU and UK roaming data
- 100 international minutes a month to 38+ countries
How sign-up works
The plan is available only through the Lidl Plus app, and you must be 18 or over. You can keep your current number or take a new one, and get a SIM in store or an eSIM at home. Up to three extra SIMs can be added to the same account at €12.99 each.
How it compares
| Provider | Price | Headline offer |
|---|---|---|
| Lidl Connect | €12.99 | Unlimited 5G data, calls and texts |
| 48 | €9.99 for 6 months, then €12.99 | Unlimited data, 20GB in Europe |
| Clear Mobile | €12.99 | Unlimited calls and data, 10,000 texts |
| Sky Mobile | €15 | Unlimited calls, texts and data, UK and EU |
Is €12.99 a lifetime price?
Lidl calls it a “Price for Life”, and its terms say a guaranteed price cannot rise while you stay on the same plan. You lose it if you cancel and re-subscribe, if you delete your Lidl Plus account, or if Lidl ends the contract for misuse or fraud.
Where to buy
Lidl Connect is sold only through the Lidl Plus app. You can download an eSIM there or collect a physical SIM from any Lidl store.
